Mariah Carey Packs Up Planned Memoirs, Appearances

Mariah Carey seems to be packing up everything from the release date of her twelfth studio album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" to appearances including a stop by the MTV Video Music Awards.
Late Wednesday a number of sources, citing cancellation and/or postponement notices broke news that Carey would not be performing as planned at a number of outlets including NBC's Today Show.
Originally booked for August 28, producers at NBC confirmed Carey's cancellation in an email early Thursday.
"The previously announced Mariah Carey performance on Friday, August
28th has been canceled. This date will now feature a performance by
MILEY CYRUS," NBC wrote.
In addition, Carey's album is now rumored to be set for release September 29. This marks at least two release date changes for the diva who had been due to release "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" August 25.
Official confirmation of the new release date has not been made however, fellow Island/Def Jam recording artist Amerie confirmed her own release date adjustment from an early September date to September 29 recently.
Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is led by the single "Obsessed" and features production from The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

I agree SAM. She should just do her and not worry about others. But Mariah is an UBER Perfectionist and if its not up to her standards yet, i can respect that. But i personally think she's Preggers! lol
This is NOT a good move for her! The VMA’s are only once a year and cannot be reschelduled like 106&Park appearances, The Today Show, GMA, etc….! Their has NOT been alot of buzz about Whitney’s comeback album as some believe for her label is doing only minimum promos and Whitney is another topic herself! If she is worried about other diva competition, their labels don’t do full all-out promo campaigns for them like IDJ does for Mariah, so she has nothing to worry about! Madonna and Whitney had low single debuts this week on the Hot 100 and Mary J.’s new single isn’t racing up the charts or the airwaves either! Neither of these divas have filmed a music video for their new projects like her either! Plus, she had the head start advantage and that doesn’t even matter! These facts speak for themselves, so she needs to remain stadfast and stop always worrying about other divas(Eminen included) and start promoting her own new album to its fullest!
