Sammie Positive feedback and fans brought R&B singer Sammie to the conclusion that releasing a mixtape would be wise before the anticipated release of "Coming of Age," his next album.

"A lot of R&B dudes don’t do it because it takes talent.  Not every R&B dude can do it. The main guy that you really know who does mixtapes and remixes is Trey Songz;aside from him you don’t really see a lot of guys doing it," says Sammie.

Released earlier this month, Sammie's mixtape titled "Swag n B Vol. 1 features Cassidy, Yung Joc, and Trey Songz. However, it seems that Sammie's intention is to not only prove himself as a capable recording artist but, to also guide fans toward the fresh sound of "Coming of Age".

"I’m just tryna expand as an artist and show a different side of me. I feel with this economy you have to give the people a free album before the actual album, so they can see how you coming. I am also working on my new album Coming Of Age also," Sammie told Allthatsfab.

He goes on to say; "After putting out a few songs on twitter and getting a lot of positive feedback I just decided to put out a mixtape."
