Nas Ordered To Pay Kelis Monthly In Divorce Update

Hip Hop recording artist Nas has been ordered to pay Kelis both spousal and child support, just hours after the "Milkshake" singer gave birth to their son Knight.
A judge presiding over the duo's divorce case told Nas he must pay nearly $44,000 a month in child support and spousal support fees, plus the mortgage on their Los Angeles home.
News of the divorce update follows a statement issued by a representative for Kelis Thursday. In that statement, Kelis was said to be doing "wonderful" after giving birth to their son Knight Wednesday evening.
Earlier this month, Kelis had accused Nas of not assisting with prenatal care for their son or paying for other child related expenses.
Nas and Kelis, at one time Hip Hop's most visible couple, separated earlier this year. Kelis made headlines in April when she filed for divorce papers.
The couple is due to reconvene in court September 8.
