Kelis Doing 'Wonderful' In Official Baby Boy Statement
Kelis is doing "wonderful" after giving birth to her first child, named Knight Wednesday.
Contrary to reports issued late Tuesday, Kelis gave birth at 9pm Wednesday, July 22.
In a statement issued on behalf of the "Caught Out There" singer, Kelis confirms that her son with Nas was delivered "weighing a healthy 7.8lbs" and according to the rep "the beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful".
According to Access Hollywood, reps say Kelis delivered in a New York area hospital with her mother and sister present.
Kelis' official statement follows that of Nas, who celebrated his son's birth late Tuesday night telling fans "My son is born today, so shout-out to my son, Knight".
