Mariah Carey slides Obsessed led Memoir to September

Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" has been moved to September, just weeks before its initial release.
Originally set for release August 25, Carey's twelfth studio album is led by the currently in rotation single "Obsessed" and its accompanying video.
While Carey has not confirmed the push back, retailers including Amazon.com have moved the albums release date to September 15.
Carey did however, write about the album on Twitter Tuesday. In that update, Carey expressed concern over wrapping up the album, stating "Quick update-been in the studio finishing this album-hopefully coming
overseas soon!"
News of the pushback is surprising but nonetheless, fans still have something to look forward to. A video for Carey's remix to "Obsessed," feautring Gucci Mane, will be released on Thursday.
"Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" follows "E=MC2" and the hit singles "Touch My Body," "Bye Bye" and "I Stay In Love".

I THINK ITS CUZ WHITNEY IS COMIN BACK OUT AROUND THE SAME TIME AS MARIAH. IT WOULD BE FOOLISH IF THEY DIDNT DO WHAT THEY DID CUZ WHITNEY WOULD DEFINANTLY PUT MARIAH TO SHAME, NOT BECAUSE SHE'S BETTER , BUT BECAUSE ITS HER BIG COMEBACK. I bet it's because of Obsessed's performance...I mean us fans overseas were expecting you Americans to get her to No.1...But then I realised that the song is not insanely strong.......hmmm
The album is pushed back because Mariah's label wants to see what Whitney's album will do upon its release. Alot of established artists tend to do this when they know the competition will be fierce. Remember the 50 Cent vs Kanye, Mariah vs Janet, NOW its the Mariah/Whitney battle. We all know who will outsell the first week (Don't we)
mariah single is doing pretty well its number 11 on the r&b charts so she almost to 1
I hope it's not because of the single's performance. Many of us will be waiting for this album to come out even if the first single bombs.
