Nas Scraps Kelis' Child Support Request
Nas set the record straight in the latest round of an ongoing divorce proceeding with Kelis, telling the "Milkshake" singer he's already paid enough !
According to legal papers fired recently, Nas says he has come nowhere close to the amount Kelis told the judge he has made (some $11 million). The "One Mic" rapper instead says he's made just $4 million and that his income is declining to roughly $147k a month.
Last month, Kelis, expecting her first child this summer, told a judge Nas had neglected to assist her in making preparations for the soon-to-be born child. In fact, the "Bossy" singer went on to tell the judge she has not received, and is deserving of, spousal or child support.
In his recently filed papers Nas admits he wants to be "fully involved" in the child's life however, the amout of money Kelis is expecting is essentially out of line.
According to TMZ, Nas has forked over $2,000 for baby slings, strollers and cribs.
The once popular duo, deemed as Hip Hop royalty in the early 00s, filed for divorce in April.
Nas is due to release an album later this year.
