SR Gospel: J Moss Readies 'James' Album, Plus Worship & Live, and PJ Morton

J Moss Award-winning singer/songwriter J Moss is close to revealing his third album, Just James.

Set for release later this year, "Just James," follows a recent performance at the Essence Music Festival in July.

"This CD is about the ups and downs of my life. Going through challenges that test your faith, test your marriage and even test your will to live really change you," says J. Moss.

"Just James" is due in stores August 25.

In other news, Pastor John P. Kee, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Marcus Cole of Commissioned, LeJuene Thompson, and Maranda Curtis are among those who are due to participate in Victory in Praise's "Worship and Live" Conference this month.

According to organizers, the event takes place July 26 - August 2 in Charlotte, NC. L. Spenser Smith, Zak Williams & 1 Accord, Izzy and Pastor Daniel Nutton are also due to participate.

PJ Morton sets 'Why Can't I Sing About Love' release date
Taking his first leap into the literary world, Stellar Award wining writer and producer PJ Morton is set to rlease Why Can't I Sing About Love: The Truth About the "Church" against "Secular" Music August 11.

Why Can't I Sing About Love deals with the age-old argument of sacred vs. non-sacred music, according to Morton's website.

"Many of the doctrines we as Christians are taught have been man-made and not Biblically based. A number of writers, producers, artists, and musicians have been shunned from the church for doing music outside of gospel. This book will show that love songs are not only inspired by God, but are in fact Biblical!"
