Organizers for Sunday's BET Awards have officially revamped both the show and red carpet with Michael Jackson related tributes. They have also added an extra half hour of programming !
In a release early Sunday, BET Award organizers confirmed that the show would officially feature performances from unexpected guests as well as moments that are geared toward the King of Pop.
While names have not been confirmed, Los Angeles sources say Chris Brown, Usher and Justin Timberlake have all expressed interest in appearing. With both Usher and Timberlake, who were not originally booked to appear, reportedly flying out to Los Angeles.
Beyonce, already scheduled to perform, has reportedly revamped her set and will perform some form of a tribute.
The 2009 BET Awards will air, with a new time, 8:00pm - 11:30pm ET, Live! from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium.

this was the best bet awards i have seemed in a long time especially jamie fox as the host.
BET could have left Beyonce, Keri Hilson, Lil Wayne and Drake performance off this year. They were all terrible, and who does Jay think he is to say he won't perform if Chris Brown is on the show. Chris, Usher, Omarion, Ciara, and Justin should have all been on the show to do a dance performance tribute to Michael. This slacked big time and there was entirely too much profanity. Maxwell, Tyrese, the Ojay's tribute, and Ne-yo were the best performances hands down. No one can touch Maxwell's performance, he should have performed longer.
Mollie, You've got to be kidding. This show was such an amateur effort. Instead of rushing to be the first, they should have waited to pull of a tribute worthy of the world's most famous child molestor. The show was disgraceful on so many levels.
I feel this was an EXCELLENT SHOW. Jamie did a TERRIFIC JOB and brought it all home! The tribute to Michael Jackson was pulled off VERY WELL given the lack of notice time. I stayed up to the END and was very happy. And People, STOP BITCHING ABOUT EVERYTHING AND GET POSITIVE! What did you do for me or MICHAEL?
Just watched the awards/ Is this all we have left ?
