Michael Jackson The loss of the King of Pop has resonated with so many across the world. It is especially difficult for the men who have followed in the footsteps of the man who essentially defined stage presence.

Hours after the tragic loss of Michael Jackson, Grammy recognized performers Usher, Chris Brown and Trey Songz are simply "devastated".

"This loss has deeply saddened me, with a heavy heart I composed this statement. May God cover you Michael. We all lift your name up in prayer. I pray for the entire JACKSON family particularly Michael’s mother and all his fans that loved him so much. I would not be the artist, performer, and philanthropist I am today without the influence of Michael. I have great admiration and respect for Him and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to meet and perform with such a great entertainer In so many ways he transcended culture. He broke barriers, he changed radio formats! With music, he made it possible for people like Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama to impact the mainstream world. His legacy is unparalleled Michael Jackson will never be forgotten," says Usher.

Echoing Usher, Trey Songz took to his blog Thursday calling Jackson not just the King of Pop but 'The King of Music'.

"Some say the "King of Pop" but lets just be real. Michael Jackson is the King of Music as we know it today. He's the greatest entertainter to ever live. I use to kinda joke around and say that when a baby was born, he/she would know Michael Jackson. All of your favorite artists today listened to, appreciated, and in some way were influenced by his music. If I made a list the names would take up the whole page, every genre included. We all can recite numerous lyrics and with over 750 million records sold to this day I'm sure most of the world could sing as one. Take a moment to think, When was the first time you did the moonwalk or spun around in your mirror? How many times did you do the signature MJ scream, Wooohooo, Heeeheee!?," says Songz.

Asking for respect, Songz went on to write "Lets pay respect where it's due and know that he's in a better place with our true KING, our Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace brotha."

The loss of Michael Jackson is severely devastating to us all but for Chris Brown, who shared the stage with Jackson at the World Music Awards and cites Jackson as the reason he "does music" it is tragic.

Brown issued a statement late Thursday, writing:

"Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer. I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He’s the greatest… the best ever. No one will ever be better."

Let us remember Michael Jackson's life, talent, and the important and undeniable legacy he has left on not just the entertainment world but the world at large.

Singersroom remembers Michael Jackson and sends it thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time.

I am sad today nto over mikes lost but over the quilt that my race, the human race could have dogged such a great person to the point of destruction. Mike I am sorry and I ask for your forgivnes I will miss you and you wisdom, your ability to see and your faith you had in the human race.

He was trying to tell us all to chill years ago and we never heard him, oh we listend but we never heard him. NOw we weep and cry becuase one of the most talented man who had a message for all of us is gone and we are trying to discredit him with the drug issue and go after his doctor. You all need to go back a long time ago and if you had ever said anything cross about Mike or thought he was different and make jokes about it then you are to blame. Depression kilss everyday, MAriyln Monroe, ELvis, Janis Jolin Pamela anderson all brought into depression from those who didnot get it. Thank you for taking away one of the greatest voices in the entire world. Not becuase it was a nice listening vloice but MIke knew Mike try to tell you all and now his voice is silence from drugs givin him to cope with his depression the one we all gave him.

. We are the world one of his songs that just cried out so all of us to understand and we never got it. Songs so inspiring and sung with so much hope that we get it and change the world for you and me and the entire human race. Instead the human race dogged him, falsy accused him, made stories about him and cuase him great pain. Depression after depression leading him to seek the help of medicines that eventually killed him all becuase he was hurt but those he so loved and sung about the world. As the media kill Princess DI thost that did not understnd MJ they should be to blame. 'Leave me alone" Scream" and a few other song just simply ask us to get off his back let him be and live his life did we listen. Artist real Artist like Mike sing fromthe heart not the mind. DId he make money of course he did but I beat that was not his main reason for doing it.

We often sit back in time like this and try to make since out of it all. Someone who heart and so innocent you try to get people to listen not to the music but to the song. Make the world a better place, and all the other songs of hope and love for his world , his life and what he believed in

  6. Aria says:

My kids and their kids and then their kids to all of my descendants WILL KNOW who this man is. Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you did. People will forget what you said. But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel." So with all of the trials, people will eventually forget that. With all of the seemingly outlandish comments, people will eventually forget that too. But his MUSIC...Lord his music...people will NEVER forget that because of how it made them feel. They say the whole world was his stage, well allow his spirit to sing from every mountaintop and from every valley low.

I cannot put into words what a tremendous loss this is for not just the music industry, but for the world as well. Not in my lifetime has an artist had such an impact on so many people. I breathed and imitated Michael Jacksons as a solo artist as well as when he was with his brothers. My stories are long for this man but my love is even greater. I took this time to let the world know that Michael is and forever will be loved by millions. We love and God so bless you.
