While there are a host of women in the public eye, whether in music, fashion, television or politics Ebony says there are a select few who have that "IT" factor.
In an exclusive four cover issue, revealed Tuesday, Ebony unveiled it's list of 25 black women who are not just successful but dynamic.
Among the list of women making the cut are Alicia Keys, Michelle Obama, Halle Berry and Tina Turner - each of whom have their very own cover for the month of July/August at Ebony.
Keys, currently at work on her fourth studio album, is featured behind the words "women who make us sit up and take notice".
Beyonce, Lil Kim, Erykah Badu, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Hudson, Pam Grier, and Dianne Carroll make the cut on Ebony's 25.

I agree with lilkunta, I am surprised that she is on the list because Ebony used to be very particular about who were on their covers! Lil Kim has presented herself as a more decent lady since being released from prison a few years ago! Her previous vagina-in-your-face persona is not at all representational of what African-American women aspire to be! The thing with her is she is an example of how a woman in entertainment can try to "redeem themselves" from a promiscuous image and I believe this is what the editors saw in her! She was a tough competitor on Dancing with the Stars and her most recent music video show a more tamed woman! Ebony is also attempting to compete with VIBE, XXL and The Source to appeal more to the younger generation as well! The ladies of Charm School are the current batch of women who display unladylike behavior, which at times overshadow and rival Lil Kim 's! The most unfortunate thing is that society has accepted all of this!
Lil kim shouldnt be on the list. WTH is dynamic about her?
