With half of 2009 in the books, Chaka Khan is already booked for one major event in 2010.
Khan, widely known for hits including "Ain't Nobody," "I'm Every Woman" and "Through The Fire," will receive a spot on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.
Revealed through a list of honorees Thursday, Khan will join fellow 2010 inductees Russell Crowe, Adam Sandler, Alan Jackson, Bryan Adams, James Cameron, Bill Maher and Ringo Starr.
According to The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Mark Wahlberg, Colin Firth, Randy Newman, Jimmy Kimmel and Gale Anne Hurd will be honored as well.
In 2006, Khan was honored by BET for her contributions to music at the BET Awards.

Are you joking-Chaka Khan has not been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? That is ridiculous. Anita Baker was honored in 1994 and I would put them on par in terms of popularity and quality of music even though Chaka has been in the business longer that Anita. Im speechless!
Well, Hell yea its about time. All those hits she done made But its a shame how much money it cost for her to be on the Walk of Fame. Well All I Know is it is about time all these years waiting it happen THATS MY IDOL!
Although Chaka and I currently aren't speaking, due to her no good webmaster, if I must say so myself Hollywood dropped the ball on this one for years. Do they represent the USA or what?
Totally agree with Sam & Sylvia. Looonnng overdue! A ripe mess!
After 30 years in show-business, its long overdue! It's also not surprising that she is the only African-American on the list of inductees! Although Vanessa Williams was inducted last year, this goes to show you that African-American female entertainers still have away to go when receiving their "just dues" and industry respect! R&B based divas have sold just as much as their pop and country rivals for years but still receive the minimums in the industry, even today! This is why Oprah had The Legends Ball a few short years ago! Other similar based Hall of Fame programs like the AMA's Award of Merit and The Billboard Lifetime Award for Career Achievements have not honored a past iconic African-American veteran female in the past 10 years for Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, Natalie Cole and Chaka as well are still waiting and holding on!
What the ?...........I thought Hollywood had already given Chaka Khan a "star" on the walk of fame! What the hell took them so long? Are they running out of space on the side walk surely not!
