Beyonce Puts RichGirl On It, Group Joins I Am Tour
Instead of taking the stage solo on the North American leg of her "I AM... Tour" Beyonce has enlisted the help of burgeoning group RichGirl.
The four member group, buzzing on the single "He Ain't With Me Now (Tho)," confirmed the news via Twitter Tuesday night.
"Okay...I just confirmed GREAT news!!!!!! RICHGIRL is officially opening up for BEYONCE!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH! GOD is sooooo good," Audra Simmons wrote.
Already earning comparisons to Destiny's Child and En Vogue, RichGirl is due to release their debut album in the near future.
Beyonce's forthcoming "I AM..." North American Tour kicks off June 21 at New York City's Madison Square Garden and will make rounds through the east coast before heading west in July.
As previously reported, Beyonce will also hold down an unprecedented four night stint at Wynn Las Vegas' intimate 1,500 seat venue Encore.
According to organizers, Beyonce has
made special plans for the intimate venue that will showcase her Live!
show in a way never seen before. In addition Beyonce's all-female band
will join in performances of her musical hits, classics and surprises.
As part of the occasion, Beyonce's "I Am... YOURS" performance will be
recorded and produced as an exclusive DVD.

Where did you come up with the name, Rich Girl. I have been promoting my clothing line for 3 years using the name Rich Girl. I'm not sure if it is appropriate for a group to call themselves Rich Girl.

A great move for both parties...I don't think Producer Rich Harrison who wrote Beyonce's smash hit that catapulted her to superstardom, "crazy in love"....will be short-changed by the Knowles family...he knows he's swimming in treacherous waters and with a beautiful shark that bites...they're doing each other a favor...trade-offs...this is just what they both needed...somebody's going to eclipse her...but, for right now it's still the "Beyonce Show"...and, we reap what we sow...word!
