Pussycat Dolls' Melody On Nicole: 'She's Not The Only One'

After her on stage word scrap with Nicole Scherzinger, also noted as the 'featured' Doll of the Pussycat Dolls, group member Melody Thornton is clearing the air. Essentially, Thornton says Nicole is not the only one with 'side projects'.
"Nicole's always had extra things going on as opposed to the rest of us, but we have aspirations as well," Thornton said late last week, after being asked about PCD break up rumors.
While the 'Doll' is taking the stage with Scherzinger, who she blasted after two singles from the group were released under the name 'The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger', on their summer tour, she lets it be known that they're not happy 'girlfriends' -- in fact, it seems like Thornton is biding time.
"It's definitely a huge misconception that we are just chilling and happy to just be members of the group," she goes on to say.
"I don't think we're breaking up any time soon. As long as this thing is moving, we're all still here."
Since 2005 the Pussycat Dolls have sold over 8.5 million albums worldwide and have scored four top 10 singles, including the 2005 2X Platinum certified "Don't Cha".
The chart-topping group followed their 2005 debut with 2008s "Doll Domination." Since its release in September, the album has birthed singles like "When I Grow Up," "I Hate This Part," "Jai Ho," and "Hush Hush".

all the girls r beautiful but i think nicol has had more attention given to her.Her makeup n outfits are alwayz way better than the other girls.y is that? PCD shud look into their makeup artists and those people concerned with making them look good.Coz they not doing a good enuff job on the other girls.Camera angles too,not good for the other girls but best shots always taken for nicole.Ive seen the other girls shots,when they not looking their best,like in one video i can see a PCD like she was roaring n her 'fangs' clearly seen. Whats wrong with their filming? im not a pro but when i see a shot i know it could be done better.... The rest of the girls are pretty too but in their videos,they r like being sabot##ed??? just saying what i observe....Their makeup r sometimes hideous....but nicole"s makeup is always immaculate.....
Well i think pcd should be together.. sure nicole is awesome with or without them, but they should't break up because it's not nicole's fault that the album says featuring nicole scherzinger.. and it's not her fault she has a wonderful voice and became lead singer.Also it's not right that all of them hate nicole.. because it't there fault for not standind up for therselves. Also don't hate on Melody ethier she does stood up, even though that was wrong for her to say that "even though im not featured in the cd". also Jessica Sutta a doll member felt she was behind Nicole scherzingers shadow which i feel is wrong for her to say that but that's my opion. I think pcd sould listen to us thier fans because we care for them.. though im only 12 and i love them!!@
Shame on Nicole for not being woman enough to shut that sh*$ down. I am sure she knew well in advance of that billboard appearing that she was being featured. These girls need to figure out what En Vogue and many other girl groups have. Solo careers are great, but you can't forget what made you and where you come from. PCD will have the greatest success together NOT apart. I don't see any successful solo careers here. They better get it together. As for DC, yes they can all sing, but let's face it, they don't all have major solo careers. The goal was always to launch B and only B. The only real hit that Kelly had is when she teamed up with Guetta and Michelle, well, I can't name one. But that is by design. Michelle and Kelly were not supposed to have careers. Any success they have now will be because B sits her A*& down. Her latest album is a joke yet they throw her down your throat at every station turn. You have never seen that level of promotion for the other girls.
They all need to shut up and sit down. Hahaha...they ain't no Destiny's Child. The difference between DC and the rest of the groups are that ALL OF THEM COULD SING! PCD...they're just back up dancers. And Melody and Nicole can sing...but they got TOGETHER...the sooner they realize that, the better they'll have it. One of the main things with Nicole is that her lead single with T.I. was not good and the video wasn't much better! Amazingly, the public likes seeing 5 girls versus 1! By Melody voicing her dissatisfaction publicly, she now places herself under scrutiny when and if she does every fully record a song with her on lead vocals, she needs to now blow it out of the water! Other than the Supremes, the most critically acclaimed girl groups rotated leads on vocals! We never know, Melody may have been promised by label executives that she really would lead more considering shes the only other girl who can sing lead in the group! This would've been great for the girls because by rotating leads they would've been able to be considered as a more reputable act rather than stripper like girls who can just dance really well! Unfortunately, for Nicole, everyone can't be Diana Ross or Beyonce with succesful post careers after their group successes!
if nicole is so the stuff as one of you put why did her singles FLOP LIKE THAT? LOL nicole need that group just as much as the rest of them. melody can sing but nicole stands out because of her looks. but im just waiting to see if nicole can ever have a hit song BY HERSELF.only time will tell. and by reading the 2 statements above, yall are so nicole stans, LOL
Honestly, Melody needs to sit down and shut up. I like her okay but she needs to understand that Nicole is da stuff and that she was really the one who made the group. Also, Melody's "fans" need to chill out because if she does release an album, they'll never buy it!!!
nicole worked hard to make the group sucessful..if she wants to go solo so be it,n melody nids to jus get a life
