GinuwineR&B singer Ginuwine is back with his first album in nearly seven years. This time however, the former "Pony" singer went back to his roots with longtime friend/producer Timbaland.

"We did three songs," Ginuwine shared with Singersroom.

According to Ginuwine things went smoothly when he and Timbaland reunited after a roughly ten year hiatus. Attributing the hiatus, which kicked off after the "So Anxious" led album "100% Ginuwine," to growth and business, Ginuwine admits that it was only right to "take this opportunity and come back with the people" he "started with".

"At the end of the day what matters is we were able to come together and work together again."

While three songs were put together for his soon to be released album "A Man's Thoughts," Timbaland has one cut on the album due to "business"...

"A Man's Thoughts" is due in stores this summer.

The dynamics between he & Timberland is what I'd expected! G had mentioned in past interviews back in late 98-99, that Timbo was his best friend and you could tell that there was a brotherhood-like, ride-or-die bond between them because the music they recorded together was far more memorable than of G's competition! Unfortunately for G., he was on one of the lamest major labels(Sony/Columbia) that couldn't take G's songs to Usher-like sales! The irony of G's career is that the #1 Timbo-produced songs we've heard over recent years by Justin Timberlake could've and should've been for G...and now Justin mentions Timbo as his best friend in several of his interviews! Showbusiness deals can tarnish a friendship and this happens often! Missy hasn't mention Timbo in her interviews over the years as well! Alot of music lovers on the street have said that G is a better dancer/live performer than Usher and Justin, and I agree! Best of luck to G with the new CD!
