Grammy-winning producer DALLAS AUSTIN has been sentenced to four years imprisonment in Dubai after pleading guilty to cocaine charges. Austin had sought a pardon from ruler SHAIKH MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM and was hoping for a reduced sentence, claiming he broke the law "by mistake", having no knowledge of the law in United Arab Emirates. Several hours after Austin was convicted he received a pardon, followed by a deportation order.
