The untold story of iconic Supremes member Florence Ballard is coming to the small screen thanks to TV One !
Ballard, known for her stint with Mary Wilson and Diana Ross in the Surpremes during the iconic Motown Era, was confirmed to be the subject of one of three new installments of "Unsung," TV One's applauded series launched in 2008, this week.
Among those featured in the forthcoming show, which airs June 28, are former Supremes member Mary Wilson and Ballard's sister Maxine Ballard.
Shalamar (June 21), Melba Moore (June 14) and Minnie Riperton (June 7) will also be featured on "Unsung" during the month of June, which coincides with Black Music Month.
Shalamar, Moore, and Riperton's episodes, which document their lives and careers, are narrated by actor Gary Anthony Williams.

Will they be showing a rerun of the flo ballard episode or can a video of episode be purchased? Does anybody know?
I DONT WANT TO SEE THAT UNSUNG STORY ANYMORE. MARY WILSON AND OTIS WILLIAMS, BERRY GORDY, ALL TOLD LIES TO PROTECT DIANA ROSS.SHE AIN'T NOTHING BUT A LIVING ALCOHOLIC
You have struck gold with this one!! Thank you for tapping into the communities interest for wanting to know more about our musical icons. Can you place the Whispers, the Emotions & Evelyn C. King on the list?
I would like to know if unsung will do a documentary on The Sylvers, the 70's pop group. The older members started singing professionally in the 1950's.
TV One should be celebrated and praised for their "Unsung" series. PASS IT ON!
I think Taraji Henson would be a better Diana Ross. Faith Evans is a good choice for Florence Ballard.
The UNSUNG series is absolutely one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It details the accounts of the singers that were legendary in their own time but for some reason, never reached the pinnacle of success that they so deserved. I especially am looking forward to the Florence Ballard story as I am a huge Supremes fan. The Phyllis Hyman story was superb! We haven't really heard that much about her since her untimely death in 1995,
I think they should make a big screen version of the Supremes story. Although Dreamgirls in small details cronicalizes the lives of the trio, a true based-story with Faith Evans as Florence Ballard would do well. Perhaps, Essence Atkins as Diana Ross, and maybe Michelle Williams of Destinys child as Mary Wilson.
l love unsung and i like tvone
