Apollo Plots Carey, Labelle Featured 75th Anniversary

Patti Labelle, Mariah Carey, and Jamie Foxx are among those who will descend upon the historic Apollo Theater for June's 75th Anniversary Celebration.

Hosted by comedian/radio personality Steve Harvey, the forthcoming 75th Anniversary will feature the induction of Quincy Jones and Patti Labelle who join past Apollo Legends Hall of Fame honorees Gladys Knight and the Pips, James Brown, and Little Richard.

Both Mariah Carey and Jamie Foxx are due to present the Apollo Legends Awards which will be followed by honors bestowed upon Bill and Camille Cosby. The duo, noted for their contributions to the community and strong bond amongst each other and their families, will be given the Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis Arts and Humanitarian Awards.

In addition to the aforementioned presentations, both Anita Baker and The O'Jays are slated to perform with the assistance of musical director Ray Chew (Showtime at the Apollo, Inaugural Neighborhood Ball-ABC).
