Ciara, Chrisette Michele Vie For No.1 Spot, Near Tie In First Day Sales

Who would've thunk it, Ciara and Chrisette Michele in a battle for the no.1 spot on next week's album chart ? According to sales reports and predictions the "Fantasy Ride" and "Epiphany" divas are going to be very close when official debut numbers are revealed next week !
In a report issued through Hits Daily Double and Nielsen SoundScan, Ciara and Michele had strong sales on Tuesday, the day their albums were made available through stores and digital outlets. In fact, the ladies are predicted to each sell over 70,000 copies in the first week, making it difficult for anyone to truly predict which album will debut at no.1.
Based upon history however, Ciara's "Fantasy Ride," which suffered a series of delays may be the victor considering the diva's last release 2006s "The Evolution" which bowed at No.1 with 338,000 copies.
Michele, who picked up a Grammy this year, debuted with 27,000 copies in 2007.
Elliott Yamin's latest effort "Fight For Love" is also set to debut high on the chart.

THAT MAYBE WHY SHE GOT NE-YO THIS TIME AROUND, BUT I STILL DON'T THINK HER SONGS ARE STRONG ENOUGH. SINGERS WHO JUST STAND IN ONE SPOT AND SING HAVE TO COME EXTRA HARD, BECAUSE PEOPLE TODAY PREFER TO SEE DANCERS AT THE TOP OF THE CHARTS. THE RECORDS SHOW IT...CHRIS BROWN AND OMARION WERE ON TOP OF THE CHARTS AND NEITHER ONE OF THEM CAN SING BUT THEY CAN DANCE THEIR ASS OFF JUST LIKE CIARA. PEOPLE WAN'T TO SEE PERFORMERS. MAXWELL, AVANT, TANK, TYRESE, AND RAHEEM DEVAUGH ARE GREAT VOCALIST BUT THEY DON'T GET THE PUBLICITY LIKE THESE NO TALENT YOUNG GUYS THAT TOP THE CHARTS.
shell u said chrisettes first album only had three good songs on it? i guess ur deaf... i like ciara but her pass albums only went platinum because of the singles, evolution only had like three of five good songs i love ciaras new album though. ciaras more known but chrisette michelles voice is incomparable....shes the voice behind jay-z lost ones and nas's cant forget about you and hip-hop will never die title track..... ciaras first album was better then the second and her third album i think is really her strongest....
I love Chrisette and I hope she out sells Ciara... but I feel Ciara sometimes shes just not as good a singer as C. Michelle and it time real singers get their props... all these studio singers been running pop too long let some real singers run the game for a minute.

Elliott Yamin's Cd is OFF THE HOOK! I bought one at Target and looking to buy another at Walmart for the bonus songs! Elliott has the voice!!!
Fantasy Ride is just recycled beats and lyrics that mean nothing. It took 3 singles being released before Ciara had a hit and even LS&M is sliding down the chart just as quick as it rose!
FANTASY RIDE all the way......Ciara cd is GOOD....Ciara To The Stage and Like a Surgeon are hot as hell. She definetly needs to release those 2 tracks.
Target had more copies of Ciara's because they received more copies to sell since she is a higher selling artist than Chrisette. Let's be real here, Chrisette Michele can sing but she does not have enough good songs on her cds to overpower female stars like Ciara. Ciara is more known than Chrisette, plus I did not even know Chrisette had a cd coming out. Her publicist suck. Chrisette's first cd and this cd only have 2-3 good songs on them, not enough to make you want to buy it. The Target I went to had a whole lot of both cds.

I went to 2 Targets and they were SOLD OUT of Epiphany, but had a bunch of copies of Fantasy Ride...i wonder what that will mean
