R&B Men Thank Mom, Even Though She Was Tough as Nails !

You've listened to their songs declaring everything from love to social activism however, what some may not know is the fact that many R&B men got it from mom !

Yes, there's always been the phrase "she got it from her momma" but for R&B crooners like Trey Songz, Usher and Omarion mom was the lady who started it all.

"My mama told me if I ain't get that deal in the first year, I had to get a job or go to college...," recent "I Need A Girl" singer Trey Songz says of his mom who almost sent him off to college instead of making a trip to the recording studio. Nearly three albums later, Songz' mom stands by his side, even supporting her son at this year's 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

But Songz isn't the only whose mother kept him in line, Diamond-selling superstar Usher says Jonetta Patton, both mom and manager, was the one who was always there to support but also to make sure stayed focus.

i luv trey he can sanggggggggg now i am maybe just a tab older than his mom by a few years or so i know she got some old skool in her i think she needs to tell her son about how ghetto he talks seriously
