So close but no cigar.. Lil Kim was shockingly eliminated from ABC's
Dancing With The Stars reality dancing competition Tuesday after a few
missteps on Monday's performance show. Even more shocking is the
commentary directed towards the "Jump Off" rapper, especially from
dancing partner Derek Hough.
After being told "You tried to be a lady, but you're more comfortable
as a tramp" by DTWS judge Bruno Tonioli on Monday's performance episode
Lil Kim gracefully exited the stage. Unbeknownst to Lil Kim Monday's
waltz and salsa would be her last dance as a contestant on the show as
Tuesday, the diva was voted off even though she scored higher than the
Ty Murray (52 vs. 46).
Gracefully thanking fans and show producers Lil Kim said "I think this
is one of the greatest experiences I've ever experienced in my life. I
think I brought different viewers (to the show). I know people who've
never watched the show and they watch the show."
Dancing partner Derek Hough expressed his admiration for Lil Kim as
well, stating: "She is the most amazing person, amazing soul, amazing
spirit, and of course, amazing dancer and I love you so much".
It was however Hough's backstage joke of sorts that may be offensive to say the least.
Speaking with E!, Hough says he thought he was going to get cut when news broke that Lil Kim was his partner !
"I was like, I think I'm going to get shanked in the middle of a
dance." However, Hough went on to say that he's come to love and
appreciate Lil Kim over the last few months.
"(...) the second she walked in there she was a beam of energy, so
sweet and so nice. As the weeks went by, I just love her more and more
and more and I'm really excited to spend some time without teaching her
and drilling her."
Kim reportedly laughed off Derek's comment about being shanked, plus he is in her new video for "Download" here.
What do you think about Derek's "Shank" comment ... funny or offensive ?

It's amazing how the 'press' loves to try and create a feud when none exists. Your 'journalism' reeks of high school mudslinging. I think instigator is a more appropriate title than reporter. Are you sure you don't work for The Source?
the other commetns are right on the money.... nice Journalism skills.. NOT
Did you actually see the interview? You should watch it on youtube because if you saw it you would realize it was nothing like how you are making it out to be. The interview was with Derek and Kim together and Derek didn't say he thought he was going to get cut - Kim said it, laughing. They were joking around together as they always do. Anyone who has seen them together for any amount of time can see how much they adore each other.
Your question is ridiculous. This was two people who are close, joking as people who are close do. Stop trying to bring a subtle 'race' angle into this. Oh and yes, I have been BLACK ALL my life!
