What started out as a behind the scenes blog for "R&B/Hippie Neo Soul Star" Raheem DeVaughn turned into a truthful session about the realities of making music and getting it out to you --the fans. In fact, DeVaughn needs your help to get his album out !
After speaking on his work ethic which included over 24 hours of non stop recording, Raheem DeVaughn looked into the camera (in video below) and said "I don't know when my album is coming out. I'mma stop lying to ya'll".
According to DeVaughn, his album, a follow up to the BET Award nominated "Love Behind the Melody," is being held up by Jive Records:
"Jive Records doesn't respect my value at this point as far as I'm concerned. Call them. If you ready for my album to come out and tired of waiting.. call the label, call Jive Records".
"Until me and the label can see eye to eye and they can see my value and respect my worth I might as well just make dope sh** and give it out to ya'll for free, come to your city and tour and perform it for you".
With that said, DeVaughn, widely known for his soulful blend of music including songs like "Guess Who Loves You More" and "You," says there will be a free album coming out for fans within a few weeks.
"I predict within the next two to three weeks it's going to be released, the dream is real."

Im not surprised. Jive is the label singer Joe left ( All The Things Your Man Wont Do; Dont Wanna Be A Player; Thank God I Found You w Mariah; Stutter w Mystikal; What If A Woman; More Than A Woman f Angie Stone; Emergency; & many more great songs). RAPIST kelly is on the label. Rapist is probably telling jive to not support Raheem like he told them to not support Joe.
See, that's why all of us artist need to form our own, help me out Raheem-we can start our own for our own, some sacrifice-but we can do it. tylegend@myspace.com....Its not a game, all y'all artist tired of making music not goin to the fans or being wasted by record co. execs and exec. producers-lets do this. The motto at Tyrant Music Group is: "Give Us Free"
