Lil Wayne Documentary Greenlit by Judge, Despite Rappers Protest

A documentary titled "The Carter" has been given the green light by a Los Angeles superior court judge despite Lil Wayne's request to block its release !
According to published reports, Judge Michael S. Mink denied the Grammy-winning rapper's request to halt the film through a preliminary injunction this week.
The film, already shown at January's Sundance Film Festival, written and directed by Adam Bhala Lough is now said to be seeking distribution rights.
"We're very pleased with the court's decision," Quincy Jones of QD3 Entertainment, the studio that owns rights to the documentary, told Variety Tuesday.
"We made a great film, which was incredibly well received at Sundance, and showcases Lil Wayne's extraordinary talent".
A trailer for the documentary received praise in December after teasing fans with concert footage and the "Lollipop" rapper stating "when they played hide and go seek, I'd be on the porch rapping. When they played football, I'd be on the porch rapping".
Lil Wayne's effort "The Carter III" earned the rapper the distinction of having the best selling album in the calendar year 2008 with a total of 2.88 million copies moved and is now RIAA certified 3X Platinum in the U.S.
