Grammy Award-winning diva Christina Aguilera's anticipated album, slated for release late 2009, appears to be taking a dip towards Rihanna and Beyonce producer Tricky Stewart !
Stewart, noted for working on some of the biggest hits with The-Dream including Rihanna's "Umbrella," recently twittered that he has been in the studio with "Mary, Mariah and Christina Aguilera" !
News of Stewart working with the former "Ain't No Other Man" singer follows Aguilera's announcement while on tour in Dubai that her forthcoming album would take "a different direction all together".
Also reuniting with Linda Perry ("Beautiful"), Aguilera's forthcoming album is welcome to fans and critics alike who said 2006s "Back To Basics" was "respectable" but "devamped" (EW).
"It's a challenge and an exciting new project for me to reinvent what I
am doing yet again, and come up with something new and fresh," Aguilera told Billboard in 2008.
Snapping up Tricky Stewart may very well prove successful for the pop diva, who in recent years has been topped chart-wise by Fergie and Rihanna. In fact, the "Voice Within" singer has admitted to experimenting with her voice this time around telling Billboard "I'm experimenting with my voice in ways I've never done before, almost
like a technical, computer-generated sound, which is different for me
because I'm the type of vocalist that just belts".
Christina Aguilera's anticipated and as-yet-untitled album is due Summer/Fall 2009.

Go Christina! She is one of today's most "underrated" divas who has appeared to have gotten lost in the shuffle of other divas like Beyonce, Rihanna, Pink, Fergie, Britney, Kelly, Jhud, Carrie, Leona, Taylor Swift, Miley, etc.....Hopefully, with this new album she will find her way back on the charts! Her greatest hits CD through Target didn't do well either and "Back to Basics" was alot better than some of those divas last projects! She is the only young starlet to make Rolling Stone's Greatest Singers of all time! Vocally,"Back to Basics" was better than Beyonce's "I Am"! Christina tore down the house at last year's Grammy tribute to James Brown! She is an amazing vocal talent who is also a pretty good dancer which is another underated talent of hers! Christina should be #1 later this year!
Christina, we love you!!!
Brazil Loves Christina!!!
I'm dismayed that critics are so vehementely against "Back to Basics". Christina did a kick-ass job of marrying old school jazz with fresh R&B. Although everything Christina works on is golden, I feel that "Back to Basics" was her best collection.
wow.
