Kanye West's Mom 'Doctor' Loses License, Plus West Launches Energy Drink

"808s & Heartbreak" star Kanye West can celebrate two pieces of interesting news this week, one a potentially bitter-sweet resolution of sorts and the other an addition to his growing business related portfolio.
The first bit of news is related to Dr. Jan Adams, the doctor who operated on West's mother a few years ago, just prior to her unfortunate death.
According to California's Medical Board, Adams has lost his right to practice in the state !
In court documents obtained late Thursday, Adams was said to have told the "truth" about charges brought against him for driving under the influence.
As previously reported by several media outlets, Adams had been involved in two criminal convictions for driving under the influence and failing to pay child support.
California State Medical Board executive director Barb Johnston says "The mission of the Medical Board is public protection and this action reflects the Board's ongoing commitment to that mission".
According to E!, Adams has the right to petition for reinstatement in three years but by surrendering his license now he acknowledges that the Board's disciplinary action is justified.
In related Kanye West news, the Grammy-winning star is taking on the energy drink market with the help of GURU Beverages.
According to GURU, West will be involved in the entire development process of the beverage which hits stores alter this year.
