Grammy Award-nominated singer Keyshia Cole and her mother Frankie Lons are safe in Atlanta contrary to online reports that suggested the BET reality duo had been involved in a fatal car accident this week.
Speaking up late Tuesday, Cole's management issued the following statement:
"Imani Entertainment has received a huge amount of inquiries in regard to the rumor about Keyshia Cole and her biological mom, Frankie Lons, recently passing in an automobile accident. The rumor has absolutely NO truth to it – Frankie and Keyshia have not been involved in any accident of any kind and are doing well at their respective homes in Atlanta."
"We want to thank all of Frankie and Keyshia’s fans for their concern."
In related news, Keyshia Cole has picked the Monica assisted record "Trust" as the next single from her Gold-selling third album "A Different Me".
Since its release in December "A Different Me," featuring the singles "Playa Cardz Right" and "You Complete Me," has moved over 800,000 copies and is nearing Platinum-certification.
