R&B/soul singer turned actress Jill Scott's participation in the television series "The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency" may have gained a few more viewers -- 5.2 million to be exact !
According to British reports, 'The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency' picked up 5.2 million viewers during its debut on BBC.
Starring Jill Scott as detective Mma Ramotswe and Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls, Princess and the Frog) as her assistant, 'The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency' is slated to debut stateside on HBO March 29 as a two-hour film.
In recent years, Jill Scott has been seen in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married," and the hit UPN/CW show 'Girlfriends'.
