Gospel Icon, 'Sunday Best' Judge BeBe Winans Booked on Domestic Assault Charges !

Gospel Icon BeBe Winans has been booked on domestic assault charges according to Tennessee reports !
Winans, known widely for both his solo recordings and collaborations with CeCe Winans, was arrested after allegedly pushing his ex-wife and mother of his children to the ground during an argument last month.
In court documents obtained by thesmokinggun.com, Winans, currently serving as a judge on BET's hit singing competition Sunday Best, got into a verbal altercation over custody issues dealing with their children.
An official affidavit filed in February, says Winans then became irate when "the victim was telling the defendant (Winans) of issues with the children".
The affidavit goes on to says "the defendant pushed the victim to the ground, the victim was in fear of bodily injury".
Winans is reportedly free on $1,000 bond after being arrested on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.

Well I I agree what Obvious said, & I going to have to dis agree with some of you. I don't think he comes off Holy than thou.....the man just know his music, with my few run in's with him. He is actually a kind hearted person.
No matter what the situation is the best solution is to just walk away.
Being human and sometimes acting without think is known among us. I am no judge. and I will not judge Bebe on this situation nor did I judge Chris Brown although his situation was more serious. We all make mistakes. We are not perfect nun of us and if u think u are then ur dead wrong. I will continue to support Bebe and the only thing we as people can do is pray for him and his wife. That is between him and God.

@mzgoodbadgirl... As far as where are the bloggers, you have to remember Chris Brown is a "pop" artist with way more exporsure then BeBe (present day). And at the same time I think Chris/Rihanna was way more "scandolus" due to who was involved and the pics. I give BeBe credit for not beating her down, but with that being said, wrong is wrong. Hope Debra's is doing good, I got to meet her about 10 years back and she came off as a very nice and geniune person.
I think it's wrong how people are trying to put bebe in the same catorgory as ike turner when we know nothing about what was going on. & I think it's strange how this lady waits until a month later to say something about being pushed. Furthermore, I know how some ladies are and a lot of times they are the ones hollering and screaming ,getting all up in your face. And for all of yall that's saying he comes off holier than thou need to come to north carolina, cuz he ain't even close. Everybodies coming down hard on chris brown, and I understand why but at the same time we were not there and honestly i think they both were fighting and things got out of hand. Some of yall want to lock him up and throw away the key. That's not the answer. The answer is to sit down with chris and rihanna and get to the root of the issue. That's my opinion, please don't be offended, it's all love, peace.
lets see if oprah do a show concerning her friend bebe. and where are all of thebloggers at now? everybody and their mama had something to say about chris and rihanna but i dont see the backlash with bebe. umm i'll wait.
Details appear to be sketchy, which still make it wrong when things becomes physical! I too, like MicCheck! below, had also noticed that at times BeBe can be "bougie" as compared to the "more upbeat-charismatic persona's" of his gospel peers! It's OK to be upscale and classy while performing, but when he is being interviewed and hosting award shows he comes across as "holy-er than thou"! With him being friends with Oprah, I wonder what does she have to say about this, since she is doing shows on domestic abuse, spurred by Chris Brown & Rihanna's events??????
Another sketchy detailed celebrity-domestic issue, but with a gospel twist! I wonder what people are gonna now think about him while watching the new season of Sunday Best???? Even before the show, he comes across like he is the "gospel stuff" since he lost all that weight years ago..Did she hit him first?? ..She must be friends with Juanita Bynum?...no excuses though...Will he become the Simon of American Idol by default because of this????
And this won't get far as much attention and he proclaims to be a man of God. Wrong is wrong, and they all are regardless of if it was a bruise, blood, or not. Some people get hit harder in certain situations than others.
