According to the CW, whose network CW Plus covers the nation's top 100 markets, Brian McKnight has been added to their fall 2009 line up.
McKnight, known widely for the R&B/soul classics "Anytime" and "Back At One," will host the entertainment/variety show every weekend. 'The Brian McKnight Show' is also slated to feature live performances and interviews with Hollywood talent, musicians, comedians and athletes.
"We are delighted to welcome 'The Brian McKnight Show' to our line up of CW affliates," Executive Vice President Russ Myerson said via a released statement Tuesday.
"His great energy and enthusiasm, coupled with the production mastery of Larry Klein, should make this weekly program a must see!"
New York's WPIX and Chicago's WCIU are among the list of networks that have agreed to feature McKnight's weekend show.
In recent years Brian McKnight has taken advantage of several opportunities including a slot at L.A.’s 94.7 “The Wave” and more recently as the host of BET J’s Soul Sessions, a
music video series which McKnight called “an entry level into television
and hosting.”
'The Brian McKnight Show' premieres this fall on CW Plus, the singer can currently be seen on the NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
