Despite a press release issued featuring the album title "James River" last month, R&B/soul singer D'Angelo's manager says the album and a number of aforementioned collaborations are not confirmed.
In a statement issued through Billboard, Lindsay Guion says "We have spoken to Prince, Mark Ronson and John Mayer's camps, but nothing has been confirmed at this time."
Guion's note follows a release that confirmed collaborations with both Ronson and Prince.
According to Guion, Cee-Lo Green, Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip and Roy Hargrove are still on tap for D'Angelo's J Records release.
D'Angelo's as-yet-untitled album is slated for release this summer.

I hope he doesn't pull a Lauryn Hill because I am looking forward to this!!
Regardless, I'm so exctied at the prospect of another D'Angelo album coming out - so much music at the moment is so uninspring we need some D'Angelo!!
I can't wait for this CD to drop. D'Angelo is one of my favorite Neo Soul artists, not to mention a "real" talent. I forgive him for what ever he went through. I just glad he's back and this isn't yet another tragic story. I love his music and miss his spritual energy! Welcome back D'Angelo my black angel!
