Day26Nearly a day after Danity Kane's Dawn Richard confirmed the  official end of Danity Kane, fellow Making the Band stars Day 26 expressed their shock, or lack of surprise that is...

According to Day 26, Danity Kane weren't honest with themselves or their fans.

"I think they kept things secret to the public," says Will of Day 26.

"That takes a lot to keep all that bottled up inside, and they exploded to the point they can't return."

Day 26, who will return for the next season of Making the Band, which follows them post tour as they begin working on the follow up to their self titled debut, say they are moving forward.

"We were family, and when your family does shady stuff and they don't apologize for it or fix it.. it's like Damn," says Que of Day 26.

In the wake of Danity Kane's break up, MTV has decided to preview the new season with a special titled "Damaged: A Making the Band Special."

According to the network, 'Damaged' will take a look at all of the drama that took place during the previous season. Fans of the show, media experts and members of the cast will dish about the events that led up to the explosive season finale and what you can look forward to in the new season.

"Damaged: A Making the Band Special" will air Thursday, February 5th on MTV.

The new season of Making the Band 4 premieres February 12th on MTV.

I actually don't think that Dawn is trying to be the runner. She is just trying to set the record straight about what is going on with the group. I mean if the members had or have a problem with it why don't they come out and set it straight? I don't believe that no one is telling the others not to say anything and stoping them from speaking their mind. That might be the very reason why the group ended the way it did no one wanted to speak their mind or just try to be honest with their group members. No one wants to talk about their problems now a days and that leads to the very reason why female groups now a days have a hard time sticking together which makes it unfortunate as Sam stated. Like it was said if your not some how related the chances of breaking up is high. I mean problems occur everyday in a group which is to be suspected but it does make it a struggle for other groups.

.....and I guess the P****cat Doll comparisons can "honestly" stop like the headline mentioned in that the Danity Kane members were'nt "honest"! Hey! At least PSD is still together and climbing the charts, which is more than we can say for DK!

I just think that Dawn, needs to stop answering questions about the band that is making her to be the front runner and that is not good when she is the only one talking.

  5. Sam says:

Girl groups more than any other entertainment based music acts are notoriously known to have problems! Unless you are bloodline family, like the legendary Pointer Sisters and new divas Cherish, your chances for breaking up are extremely high! The industry overall has gotten away from signing alot of R&B-based groups which is unfortunate, and the good one's like Jagged Edge, Mint Condition and Brutha continue to struggle because of this!
