Natalie Cole Awaits Kidney Transplant

Ailing singer Natalie Cole is reportedly gearing up for a kidney transplant.
In a release issued Thursday, Cole was said to be going in for a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2008.
Instead of waiting for a donor, Cole's sister has decided to give her a kidney, saving the singer's life.
"I can't believe this. I'm so blessed," Cole reportedly told the Enquirer after stating that she'd asked that family members not donate.
Tomlin, Cole's sister, ignored the singer's request and got tested. Luckily her sister Tomlin is a match and Cole is on her way to getting necessary treatment.
According to the Enquirer, Cole is currently too weak to undergo surgery, but doctors have been focused on building up her strength so they can carry out the procedure in February.
