50 Cent Gone 'Spike Lee,' Takes On Film Industry With Production Company

50 Cent is going the Spike Lee route -- or at least traveling in similar circles.
The former "Get Money" star is tapping into the film industry this year by launching his own film production company titled Cheetah Vision.
Stating that he's not concerned about starting a new business during the global financial crisis, 50 Cent told reporters at this week's Sundance Film Festival "I don't think it will affect me as much as it will the other people
that are out there because I'm not afraid to finance some of these
things myself if I have to."
According to 50, Cheetah Vision did well at Sundance and has already acquired the rights to eight scripts. The first of which, will be produced starring himself and Nicholas Cage.
"They are all different types of movies that I bought the rights to,
and we're developing projects. You will see different things from me in
the future," he said.
50 Cent's Cheetah Vision follows in the wake of much-talked-about failed deals with MTV, who had inked a reality series with the star but later canceled, and GM, where the star was to launch a specially designed automobile.
The rapper also makes his debut as a director this year, giving away
his feature film, "Before I Self Destruct," free with his latest album of the same name, which is due to be released in March.
