Kat DeLuna Grabs 'New Life' With Lil Wayne and Universal Motown

Former "Whine Up" singer Kat DeLuna is ready for a new beginning of sorts with Universal Motown.

DeLuna, who earned a top 40 hit with "Whine Up," signed with Universal Motown after leaving Epic Records last October.

Gearing up for her next album, DeLuna has hit the studio with RedOne and Lil Wayne to capture what she calls "a little bit different, but crazy" sound.

DeLuna's as-yet-untitled single with Lil Wayne is slated to debut in coming weeks.

"9 Lives," her debut has sold 65,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
