R&B songbird Syleena Johnson has teamed up with KRS One, Twista and Crucial Conflict in an effort to spread the message "Stop the Violence."
"Self Destruction 2009," a single being released this week, also features Phil G, Kenny Bogus, Straw and Pugs Atomz.
According to Grant Parks and Coalmine Music, artists lent their lyrics for a cause they believe in with the statement "The time is now
as we approach the holidays and a new year; it will give us all
something to think about and reflect on loved ones that lost there life
to senseless violent acts."
Chicago and other major cities have suffered from high numbers of senseless killings over the last year.
