Brandy has received a potential blow to her livelihood via L.A. County Superior Court.
According to documents filed at the court last week, Brandy has been sued for her part in the 2006 fatal car crash that killed Awatef Abloudihaj.
Donald Lite, who was reportedly involved in the accident is suing the "Human" singer and the aforementioned Abloudihaj - a married mother of two who was killed in the accident- for allegedly causing the wreck.
In the suit, Lite says their failure to keep a safe distance, mixed with their inability to travel at a safe speed, caused Brandy to rear end Abloudihaj, causing her car to smash into his.
According to TMZ, Lite says he has suffered 'serious and permanent injuries' that have resulted in a ton of medical bills.
Brandy has been sued twice for the same accident. The "Long Distance" singer was asked to pay $50 million to the victim's parents in 2007, followed by a separate lawsuit filed by the husband of the woman killed in the crash.
In recent weeks Brandy has addressed the accident, at one point stating: "Some of the things that people said about me was also very very tough. I was involved in something that was life-changing. ... I still feel the effects of that. It was a tough experience, and I don't think that's something that I could ever forget."

Come on now if Brandy wasn't famous this man would not have thought about suing her, she is already dealing with the fact of the young lady dying let her be and move on.
Well as far as i am concerned this man just wants money; and the toxicology report had they woman who died had cocaine and marijuana in her system..THIS WAS purely an unfortunate accident
That dosen't sound good at all.
This occur more than we know and the only reason Brandy is going through so much is because of her status and who she is. Of course its traumatic and sad but it happened and could happen to any of us. Its unfortunate that she died and its something Brandy will live with for the rest of her life and its a heavy burden for anyone to carry.
@ Joe...
I think everyone realizes that had Brandy not hit the vehicle that the outcome could have been different. Do remember this was not pre meditated this was an accident. She has been cleared of all criminal charges. Fall back, the woman is not a murderer, and IMO, these lawsuits for 50 million, would not be if a celeb was not involved. My prayers go out to the family of the woman who past, as well as to Brandy, stay strong, this to shall pass.
The bottom line is this; had Brandy NOT hit the car in front of her, the woman would still be alive. Above wrote: "At least she didn't drive herself crazy like these young starlets!" - Are you aware of what your saying? Brandy is the cause of vehicular man-slaughter! i swear i'm surrounded by idiots...
Best of luck to Brandy! It's unfortunate that bad things continue to happen to her, especially in show business because goodness is not plentiful!! Brandy deserves props for being a better role model for our young girls than Britney, Paris, Amy, Lindsey, etc...At least she didn't drive herself crazy like these young starlets!
