Steve Harvey Steve Harvey will host BET's 2009 Celebration of Gospel.

Airing on January 25th, BET's annual Celebration of Gospel will feature Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker and more.

Like last year, Celebration of Gospel, the most watched religious show in television history with more than 2.5 million viewers, will feature both gospel movers & shakers and todays top R&B stars such as previous attendees John Legend and Tyrese.

Celebration of Gospel airs January 25th on BET.



Top 10 Gospel Albums of 2008

The Gospel Music Channel has revealed its list of 2008s best Gospel albums. Grammy nominated artists Tye Tribbett and Mary Mary made the list in addition to Deitrick Haddon, Brandon Heath and Josh Wilson.

Here is the Top 10, followed by an honorable mention listing.

Spirit Rising Signs Brian Courtney Wilson, Sets "Just Love" Release

Mathew Knowles (Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Trin-i-tee 5:7) has signed Brian Courtney Wilson to his Spirit Rising label with plans to release the Houston based singer's debut inspirational CD "Just Love" on January 27th.

Inspired by a wide-range of vocalists from Donnie Hathaway to Fred Hammond, Courtney Wilson believes his own unique style is a challenge to explain, but his smooth yet powerful voice can be described as "Urban Inspirational".

“I feel I have done my best work in a song when I can successfully combine human honesty with God’s truth,” says Brian.

Courtney Wilson joins Spirit Rising/Musicworld stars Trin-i-tee 5:7.
