R&B singer and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland is rumored to be gearing up for a big New Year's surprise -- a surprise that is likely to cause Beyonce and her father/manager Matthew Knowles to "Listen" up.
Reportedly tired of playing second to Beyonce, an industry insider from Sony tells Singersroom, Kelly Rowland has plans to shelf her manager, Beyonce's father Matthew Knowles.
While Rowland's efforts "Ms. Kelly" and "Simply Kelly" failed to ignite the same success as her Destiny's Child cohort in the United States she has been very successful overseas.
Her album, "Ms. Kelly" made an impressive debut in the UK stemming from the overseas only single "Work".
Eventually "Ms. Kelly" was certified gold in the U.S., however, ended up being worthy of Platinum certification overseas as the effort moved just over 1 million copies, giving the album a total of 1.5 million copies sold worldwide.
Re-released this year in Europe and Japan only, the disc reportedly moved up the charts immediately.
Sources say Kelly Rowland's "Ms.Kelly (2007)" had been pushed back several times to accommodate Beyonce's now Grammy Award-winning album "B'Day(2006)" which resulted in the failure of the "Like This" singer's sales in the U.S.
So who is Kelly Rowland looking to for guidance ?
None other than 'So You Think You Can Dance' and 19 Entertainment mogul/manager Simon Fuller, who she is rumored to announce as her new manager at the top of the year.
Fuller will allegedly work to get Kelly Rowland's career on track in the U.S.
Kelly Rowland's biggest hit "Work" became a top five hit in Bulgaria, Poland, France and the UK. The song was not released stateside.

I'm happy for her.Kelly is a very talented woman and I always thought that she should leave. I think hes all about Beyonce he don't care nothing about Kelly and i think Beyonce don't care either. So gone on Kelly you don't need them you have your own voice f*** them. DO YOUR THANG.
I hope this is really true about Kelly leaving the Knowles'. I feel bad for her. She's a very pretty and talented young lady who was cheated out of years of success all because of those fake, money-hungry people. I have to get this off my chest and I don't care what anyone has to say because I have no reason to hate. Don't get me wrong...Beyonce is an attractive female. She's also a good entertainer. I like some of her songs. People say she's the best singer out there but look at her competition! She has none! After listening to like 2-3 of Beyonce's songs in a row, her voice gets so irritating! Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston(before the drugs)sound better than her! Plus their songs have substance. Kelly sounds better than her too. People say she's not a great entertainer but how often do the Knowles' give her time to shine? Once she leaves them, she'll surprise everyone and show her full potential. She sure has what it takes to be successful! Go head Kelly!!! I'm cheering for you!
If this is true, then I am proud of Kelly. Becasue I thought she would never leave Matthew Knowles managment. I had always said that if she never left Matthew then her career would be stagnet. At least in America. And who doesn't want to be famous in their own country. If letoya can get away from Matthew and be successful. Especially with her new album and two new movies she has coming out "Preacher's Kid" and "Caramel" then so can Kelly.

Wendy, this isnt about B vs Kelly, and who would have a better concert. Its about Kelly having a better manager and better people around her that will enable her to reach her full potential. Beyonce strives to reach her potential and her father helps her singing career while her mother manages her acting career. I REALLLY believe we havent seen Kelly at her best yet. And it will take better mangagment for that to happen
You all need to stop kidding yourselfs. If Bey and Kelly were to do a concert (separate) by far, Bey's concert would certainly be more entertaining. While Kelly can sing, she is not a good solo performer. If any of you have Bey's "The Beyonce Experience" you cannot deny that is one BAD concert. I don't know of any other femail entertainer that CAN ACUTALLY SING AND DANCE AND SOUND THAT GOOD!!!. I dare any of of you to name one!
If this is true then, YAY Kelly!! It's about time. She is very talented. And for the poster who said that Bey works hard, Kelly does too. Bey having her dad as manager gives her a way bigger advantage, like it or not, that's the way it is, no matter who's involved. He's more biased toward his daughter. Anyway, I hope it is true. Kelly cannot and will never win in the situation she is in currently.
