Is Beyonce greater than Tina Turner ?
According to Kanye West the "I Am...Sasha Fierce" singer is that chick !
...she is just as great, if not greater, than artists we had in the past…she’s probably greater than Tina Turner, West told reporters in New Zealand.
This is not the first time Kanye has praised the singer. A few weeks back the "808s & Heartbreak" star upgraded Beyonce's "Single Ladies," stating the single was a step up for the 'Cadillac Records' actress.
Kanye went further by calling Beyonce a legend: "Nobody really wants to recognize that Beyoncé is a f***ing living
legend."
Kanye's new album "808s & Heartbreak" is in stores now.

Beyonce may be talented, but so are many other artists who are getting any love, because of the Knowles' marketing frenzy! It's ok though, because what is done in the darkness will soon emerged into the light. Believe that.

Oh please! Of course Beyonce if very talented, but she is not a living legend. You have to pay your dues to be a legend. Let's just say she's a diva. Miss Tina is a diva and a living legend. She and Ike were trailblazers. Singers like Tina, Aretha, Patti, Dionne, and Gladys paved the way for the young black singing artists of today. They had to put up with a lot of crap in the old days. I first saw the Ike & Tina Revue in Milwaukee in 1968. Ike and his Kings of Rythm band and Tina and the Ikettes were a sight to behold. Ms. Turner is a real legend. Kanye's ego and mouth are out of control, now i KNOW he's an official ass kisser who's on crack!! Beyonce is so over-rated and over-exposed its pathetic! And she is NOT a trailblazer or influenced the next generation of young female singers the way Tina did, the why Whitney did and the way Mariah did......so HELL NO! Beyonce dont even belong in the same SENTANCE as Tina, Whitney or Mariah!
If you're gonna compare Beyonce to someone, then compare her to someone like Diana or Janet!! Compare Britney to madonna. And Christina to Whitney. Leona to Mariah. Alicia to Mary J. Usher to Michael. Chris Brown to Usher. Rihanna to Britney. Neyo to R.Kelly. Miley Cyrus to Cydni Lauper. John legend to Stevie Wonder. Lil Wayne to Tupac. Mary J To Aretha. Those are the real comparisons!!

bulls***... have u heard of ghost writers? i highly doubt she does anything but dot the eyes to most, if not all of her songs.. what songs of substance? bootylicious? have u even heard beyonce in an interview??!?! she is so shallow and flat.. what u see is what u get with her! shes beautiful (even with a boob and nose job) and she can sing.. thats about it.. its called marketing a product.. she is a product..
I would not say that she is better than Tina but she has potential to be greater than Tina in the future...And Beyonce has written plenty of songs with substance...Trust me...And I am not talking about the songs on the radio...And Beyonce does not take writing credit...Sometime more than one person writes on a song so, when she say she co-wrote a song this means she helped contribute to the production of it...There is more than just lyrics that go into a song, there are vocal and melody arrangements, hooks, bridges, verses. the chorus...etc...She would not have won a songwriter of the year award if she was not song writing, trust...Now one thing that cannot be denied is that Beyonce has accomplished way more in the decade that she has been out compared to some of the old school artist...As for someone saying she is mediocre, I think she is anything but that...The proof is in her success....

Her Sasha Fierce side of the album shows NO GROWTH in terms of continuity; they are the same, mediocre, materialistic, antagonistic songs as were on BDay...and those she DID write with the help of her cousin and her sister. But on the flip side, I AM, those songs DO have substance, but she didn't write 'em. There's growth in the subject matter and her selecting the songs, but as a writer she has yet to mature. With that aside, Kanye's statement...I get what he was trying to say, but he should be aware people aren't going to agree at all. Beyonce is Tina-esque and provided she GROW will be the Tina of our generation. She is an amazing performer and an amazing vocalist but SHE IS NOT THERE YET. Again, Beyonce WILL BE the Tina of our generation. I'm thinking Kanye was sippin' on a little something and his words just came out all wonky. God bless him.
