R&B singer Al B. Sure has teamed up with TV One for 'Unsung,' a new series on the popular network that will pay tribute to legendary acts including the Debarge family, The Clark Sisters and Donny Hathaway.
Set for a sneak peak Thanksgiving day, TV One will allow fans to get a glimpse of the anticipated DeBarge episode.
The sneak peak will be followed by a one hour installment of 'Unsung' on four consecutive nights beginning Nov. 30 at 10 pm ET with Phyllis Hyman, followed by the Clark Sisters on Dec.1, Donny Hathaway Dec. 2, and the DeBarge family Dec.3.
"We created 'Unsung' as a way to celebrate core urban favorites whose
body of work has stood the test of time but whose journeys may be less
well-known," Jeff Meier, TV One senior VP and "Unsung" co-executive
producer, told Billboard.biz.
"We wanted to answer why did these
artists remain mostly unsung to the world at large?"
In addition to focusing on each act's musical path, the episodes include reflections by either the artists or their families."

Saw the shows and loved the contents, the way they were done and thought that Al B Sure narrations were beautiful and enlightening. Look forward to many more series of the same to come Ruth
I though the show was great and al b sure doing the narrative is great
Loved the story on DeBarge. Sad story, but it's nice to know how people get to where they are today. Loved Debarge back in the day. Lots of questions exist in my mind still about them. I remember Janet gaining a lot of weight and looking very pregnant on a program on TV with her then husband James with her. She did look pregnant to me. So, I think somebody is lying. I beleive Janet has a baby that has been hidden for years now. keep the shows coming, love to learn!! Thanks, D.
