Jennifer Hudson Speaks, 'Green Lights' Holiday Ad

Jennifer Hudson spoke out Thursday after the heavily covered tragedy that claimed the lives of her mother, brother and nephew.
Issuing a brief statement through her blog, Hudson says "I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern."
In related news, Hudson has 'green-lighted' a new GAP ad that was designed for the Holiday season (pictured above).
While the timing seems to be inappropriate, a rep for the clothing retailer confirms that the "Spotlight" singer agreed to release the photos.
"She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward," Olive Doyne says.
Hudson was photographed for the ad by Michael Thompson back in July in New York City.
The ad, which includes the tagline "Shine Your Own Star," can be seen in magazines and newspapers and on billboards in New York and Los Angeles.
