International singing sensation Leona Lewis issued support for Presidential candidate Barack Obama over the weekend, calling the Democrat a "huge step forward for America."
"I think Obama
is amazing. He’s just so cool and articulate. Nothing fazes him. It would
mean everything for ethnic minorities in that country and every country
around the world to have a mixed-race leader of America."
While Lewis promises to keep a close eye on Tuesday's election, the "Bleeding Love" singer also has her eye set on adopting a child like Angelina Jolie.
"My mum was a social worker and my dad was a youth offender officer, so
I know that there are a lot of kids out there that need to be fostered
and adopted."
According to The Mirror, Lewis wants to adopt several children after taking a trip to South Africa earlier this year.
“When I was in Africa I wanted to take home all the kids. They were so cute. All of them had been orphaned because of HIV and it was heart-rending.
“There are so many who need help – both here and abroad – you just don’t know where to start.”
