While putting together her self titled debut, Jennifer Hudson had some trouble piecing together an argument -or- shall we say a 'soulful throwdown'.
That ..'throwdown' was "I'm His Only Woman," a duet that she had envisioned singing with Whitney Houston or Fantasia Barrino.
So what's a girl to do when you want the hottest track ever?
Hudson nabbed the advice of Missy Elliott.
"When it came down to it, Missy was talking to me about the song and she said if I wanted to hear an argument, I'd want to hear Fantasia and Jennnifer, so I was like, 'Okay, no problem' says the "Spotlight" singer.
Happy about the duet, Hudson says "I was just glad that it was Fantasia....because Fantasia is my American Idol."
In related news, 'The Secret Life of Bees,' starring Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Queen Latifah opened at no.3 on the weekend's box office with $11.1 million, according to studio estimates.

The song is pure comedy and pure genius. So glad the two divas can work together.
I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! THEY BOTH WERE WONDERFUL
I don't like the song, I think fantasia hollering on it kills it. But the "secret life of bees" was great
i think id be betta wit fantasia barrino bc whitney been in da game for a while and for her to do sum lik dat she needs to do da duet wit sumbody whos closer to her level as far as experience so fantasia is perfect.
