Hollywood actor Terrence Howard admits he was just as surprised as fans to find out that his role in 'Iron Man 2' had been recast -- in fact he found out when the rest of world received the news.
"It was a surprise of a lifetime" Howard told NPR Monday.
"I read something in the trade (magazines) implicating that it was about money or
something, but apparently the contracts we write and sign aren’t
worth the paper that they’re printed on, sometimes" the star fumed.
As previously reported on Singersroom, Howard's role had been given to Don Cheadle who will appear in 'Iron man 2'.
Howard was rumored to have had a three-picture deal with the studio. That deal appears to have disappeared according to Howard.
"Promises aren't kept, and good faith negotiations aren't always help up.. (The contract) just.. up and vanished."

Don Cheadle is awesome and I've always thought Terrence Howard was too soft-spoken, but they put the guy in the role so freakin' leave him there! I shelled out bucks to see the first movie four times in theaters, but I think I'll wait for this one to come out on video. This sucks. BOO!!!!!
Casting and recasting has always been trivial in making superhero movies, but Cheadle and Howard look nothing alike. Even though Cheadle is a great actor, he lacks that on-screen, red carpet swagger like Terrance. Some say Angela Basett & Vivica Fox looked more the comic's Storm than Hally Berry for the Xmen movies. The studio will have to rely on Cheadle's credible acting, wardrobe, and a high powered script to make this mis-casting work!
I think he did a great job in the movie, I can't see Don cheadle doing as good of a job
well he got what he deserved trying to hold out for money..how? when he aint all that come on now he aint no denzel lol
