R&B beauty Christina Milian is almost complete with the studio work for her forth LP, as she mentioned in a recent interview with Maximotv.com. The first single, titled “Us Against the World,” will premiere this month, and the album will be released via MySpace Records in 2009.
The former Def Jam superstar has collaborated with Cool & Dre, who produced the bulk of her last album, J.R. Rotem, The Runners, Danja, as well as Mad Scientist (Nicole Scherzinger’s “Supervillain”). Kanye West produced and is featured on a track, while Pitbull also makes an appearance.
Milian has said that she wanted "a slower process" for this album. She also plans to work with Latin songwriters and producers for the project.
Not many details are available about the feel of the album but she recently told Rap-Up.com that “It’s very feminine.” She added “I find that there’s been a lot of maturity in my vocals. [So Amazin’] was a little more urban-pop, so this one is pop-urban-international.”
In the meantime, you can catch Christina playing a cheerleader in the direct-to-DVD movie Bring It On Cinco and next year’s romantic comedy The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. This November, look for her in the video game Need For Speed UnderCover.
