Young Jeezy 'Puts On' #1 Debut, Light On Howard and Klang Debuts Fades

Young Jeezy's "Put On" pushed the Atlanta-based Hip Hop star straight to the top of the charts this week.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, Jeezy's "The Recession" sold just over 260,000 copies in the United States. Led by the summer anthem "Put On" featuring Kanye West, Jeezy's album follows his 2006 No.1 album "The Inspiration," it also beats out New Kids on the Block's comeback album "The Block" which debuted at No.2.
R&B/Pop debuts from Terrence Howard and Making the Band 4 star Donnie Klang failed to move this week, each album ended up outside of the top 10.
Howard's debut project "Shine Through It" moved 19,000 copies while Klang, who appeared on the current season of Making the Band 4 moved 22,000 copies of "Just A Rolling Stone," placing his debut at no. 19. In comparison, Klang's labelmates and reality show brothers Day 26 debuted at no.1 with 190,000 copies sold earlier this year.
