Controversial Oasis frontman and Jay-Z critic Noel Gallagher was attached on stage in Canada during a concert by the British band over the weekend.

Gallagher, 41, who came under fire for attacking Jay-Z's appearance at Glastonbury earlier this year was attacked in Toronto during a performance at Toronto's V Festival.

Video of the incident surfaced on YouTube Monday showing a man running hard from the back of the stage and knocking Gallagher from behind while the band was playing its hit song "Morning Glory" for the 40,000 strong audience. Gallagher reportedly slammed into speakers on the set while the unidentified man fell into a microphone stand as security staff rushed to grab him.

The band said in a statement on its website that Gallagher returned a few minutes later and Oasis completed its set.

The singer was later taken to the hospital where he was examined for a suspected rib fracture and ligament damage. The motive for the attack was not known.

Noel Gallagher is the Oasis guitarist. His Brother, Liam, is the frontman and lead singer. Nice effort, though.
