Hollywood: Denzel Washington Gets 'Heroic' in "Book of Eli"

Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington has been casted in the post-apocalyptic drama "Book of Eli."
Directed by Allen and Albert Hughes (Menace II Society, Dead Presidents), "Book of Eli" will feature Washington as a lone hero who fights his way across the wasteland of post-apocalyptic America, holding a sacred book that may hold the key to saving humanity.
According to Variety, the film is slated to hit theaters next year.
Denzel Washington most recently starred with John Travolta in the Tony Scott-directed "The Taking of Pelham 123."
