Brandy Goes For 'I Am Legend' Feel in 'Right Here' Video

R&B singer Brandy says she channeled Will Smith’s blockbuster “I Am Legend” for her new video “Right Here,” her first new music video since 2004's “Who Is She 2 U.”
“The video concept is me crossing over to the other side and coming back into my family's life” says Brandy who recently shot the video for her comeback single “Right Here (Departed).
Featuring longtime friend Rodney Jerkins and her brother Ray J, Brandy says her new video, directed by Little X is universal in a way. “You can take it like you're talking about a mother and a daughter, a sister, brother, girlfriend. Just popping up everywhere, just singing to them, and it's [got] an I Am Legend feel. Sometimes you see me on the street by myself completely, and it's pretty cool.”
As for reuniting with Rodney Jerkins, who spearheaded her rise to the top of the charts in the late 90s, Brandy says “I’m never leaving Rodney again. Our sound is a little bit different from our old sound, but we are back.”
Brandy’s new video is expected to premiere within the next couple of weeks, her new album “Human” is due for release November 11th.
