Boyz II Men Hits The Road, Group Plots Follow Up to Hitsville USA Album

R&B group Boyz II Men has rolled a series of tour dates that will run through early fall, following the group’s chart topping album “Motown — A Journey Through Hitsville USA.”

After singing tunes like “On Bended Knee,” “I’ll Make Love To You” and “End of The Road,” Boyz II Men, now down to a trio, shocked the world with their 2007 album “Motown-A Journey Through Hitsville USA.” Revisiting Motown classics like “Ribbon in the Sky,” “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” and a re-make of their own hit “End of the Road” Boyz II Men says “We decided to open the window and show the younger generation where the groove and the music and the lyrics come from.”

With the success of the “Hitsville” album, the group now has it’s sights set on a 20+ date summer/fall tour and their next album. The tour which is already in full swing runs through early November with stops in Detroit, Louisville and Kansas City before coming to an end in Meridian, Mississippi. (See tour dates below)

Even though they’ll be busy on the road, Boyz II Men is contemplating their next studio album, which will be their first recording of new material since 2006's The Remedy. In a recent interview with St. Louis Today, Boyz II Men’s Nate Morris says “at the end of the day, we won't conform. We'll go and record Boyz II Men stuff. Don't expect anything different from what we do. It won't be all those crazy beats and other stuff. We love women, and we'll sing love songs.”

The as-yet-untitled album from Boyz II Men is due to be released in 2009.
