Ledisi Readies First Holiday Album

R&B singer Ledisi, known for the hit single “Alright” is ready to celebrate the Holiday season with her first ever Holiday album entitled “It’s Christmas.”
Set for release September 23rd, the 12-track album features eight re-cut holiday classics including “Silent Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in addition to four new songs co-written by the Grammy-nominated singer.
According to Billboard, Ledisi says the album's mix of pop, R&B, soul and gospel was designed as a soundtrack for the hours after a holiday party. "I wanted the album to have that classic '50s feel but with an added sexiness," she explains.
Ledisi’s “Lost & Found” album earned two Grammy nominations earlier this year for Best New Artist and Best R&B Album.
“It’s Christmas” will be released via Verve Records September 23rd.
